We want every visit to The Baby Bean to be as wonderful and safe as possible. These policies are designed to keep our families informed and our little explorers secure, so you can focus on the magic of play.

General Policies

Bookings & Cancellations

All play sessions must be booked in advance via our website. If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 72 hours beforehand to move your booking. Sessions are non-refundable and cancellations are not permitted once a booking has been made.

Food & Allergies

We share a love for healthy snacks! To keep all our little beans safe,  please let our team know of any allergies or dietary requirements before ordering.  Only food and drink purchased at our café may be consumed on-site.

Photography & Social Media

We love seeing your beans at play! You are welcome to take photos of your own children, but please be mindful of others' privacy. If you capture other families in the background, we ask that you blur them or omit them before sharing online.

Arrival & Late Policy

Please aim to arrive 5 minutes before your session begins. This helps us get everyone settled in for maximum play time! While you are welcome to join us if you arrive late, please note that sessions cannot be extended beyond the scheduled finish time.

Buggy & Pram Storage

We have a designated parking area for buggies and prams. To ensure clear walkways and a safe environment for active toddlers, please fold your prams where possible. Please note that all personal items are left at the owner's risk.

CCTV & Recording

CCTV operates throughout The Baby Bean premises to support safety, safeguarding, and general security. Some cameras may also record audio where clearly indicated by signage within the venue. All footage is stored securely and will only be accessed when necessary for safety, safeguarding, incident investigation, or legal purposes.

Supervision & Safety

Children remain the responsibility of their parent or carer at all times during their visit to The Baby Bean. Our staff are here to help and ensure a magical experience, but we do not provide one-to-one childcare or crèche services.

Illness Policy

To keep our community healthy, we kindly ask that you stay at home if your child is unwell. If your little one has had a temperature, sickness, or diarrhoea in the last 24-48 hours, please wait until they are fully recovered before visiting us again.

At The Baby Bean, we treat your family’s information with as much care as we do your little ones. We believe in being clear and open about how we look after your data, ensuring your experience at our Saltaire centre remains safe and personal.

  • What we collect: We collect details like your name, contact information, and booking preferences. We also ask for health or allergy notes so we can keep your children safe while they explore our village.

  • How it’s stored: Your details are kept securely within our encrypted system and are only ever seen by the friendly staff who need them.

  • Your rights: You’re always in control. If you’d like to see what we have, change any details, or ask us to delete your info, just give us a shout!

Terms of Service

Appropriate Use of Space

We invite you to enjoy our mini Saltaire role-play village with care. To keep the magic alive for every explorer, we ask that props and equipment remain within their designated play zones and are handled gently.

Responsibility & Supervision

Parents and carers remain responsible for their children at all times while visiting The Baby Bean. Our center is not a supervised crèché; we encourage you to stay close, connect, and supervise your little ones as they play.

Sessions, Pricing & Changes

The Baby Bean reserves the right to amend play session durations, opening times, or pricing at any time. We will always strive to provide ample notice of any changes through our website and booking platforms.

Small Explorers & Suitability

The Baby Bean is bespoke-designed for infants and children up to approximately 6 years old. We trust parents and carers to decide if our specific play equipment and sensory environments are suitable for their child's developmental stage.

Care of Property

We have poured our hearts into building this special space. While we expect natural wear and tear, any significant or intentional damage to our equipment, café furniture, or decor may be subject to a replacement fee.

Do you accommodate walk-ins for play sessions?

At The Baby Bean, we strongly recommend booking your session in advance via our website. This ensures a space is reserved for your little one, particularly during our peak weekend times and local school holidays.

Can I hire The Baby Bean for a private children’s party?

We would love to help you celebrate! Our Saltaire center is available for private hire for birthdays, baby showers, and gender reveals. Simply enquire via our contact form for details on our tailored party packages.

What payment methods are supported in the center?

We accept all major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay & Cash.

Is there space for buggies and pram storage?

Yes, we have a dedicated buggy and pram storage area within the café. We also ensure our play space and role play village are as accessible as possible for all visitors.

Do you cater for allergies in the café?

Safety is our priority. We serve a range of wholesome snacks and drinks that cater to various dietary requirements. Please speak to our friendly team when placing your order so we can safely assist you.

How can I change or cancel my play booking?

We offer a flexible approach for families; you can reschedule your session with at least 72 hours' notice. Please log in to your account or contact us directly to make adjustments to your visit. Cancellations are non-refundable.
